These are the guys and gals who make it a pleasure to be around while they are arduously helping me get into trouble!! Jack Smith: Alias "milkman 1". He has been nothing but an inspiration of moral character and well...someone easy to razz! He also seems to like hanging around in the most awkward of positions and keeps coming back for more?!? Darlene Smith: Jacks lovely wife of 50 years is the June Cleaver of our life. Always with a helpful hand and meal! She as good as any 'ol salt! Jim Weir: Trusted friend, computer nerd, fisherman...well bait boy at least... has an affinity for attracting bad weather. He says it's SOOO much better here than Nebraska!! He hardly will ever go out sailing, he says these blow boats aren't his thing...but his thing is a 21' Trophy Bayliner "stink pot"... Dave Sherbourne: Alias "milkman 2 or Boss" is a fellow blow boat owner who owns a Hans Christian 43 T named Nai'a. He is also know as the human backhoe known to take down a huge barn in a single blow! Sailing on Nai'a is the thrill in his life...even if it is with these knuckle heads! Donna Sherbourne: Alias "Kitty" is always ready to take notes. A warm smile, loving nature and mature walk with the Lord she is there to help out in any polishing task or artistic advice with a peacefulness that abounds this talented First Mate. Rich Richmond: What can one say about a guy who wanted to race a trimaran during the Winter Sound Series in Seattle with gale force winds...after chipping ice and snow off the boat? (I ended up using a drysuit!) And then deliver a catamaran in the winter down the Oregon coast to San Francisco during gale winds and big seas! Well, no matter what the condition if there's a problem, my good friend Rich will be there figuring out a solution by improvise for a needed task, including organizing and president of the non-for profit Christian Ministry for Orphans in Russia and the Ukraine called The Least of These. Sherrel Richmond: Dynamite in a small packages. She is a talented woman with abilities to fix a plumbing problem, work on the engine, wire an inverter, carry batteries and sew a dress! That is if you can pull her away from the TV when either a NASCAR, football or basketball game is on....sometimes you might find her resting if Rich isn't close by... Reagan Oberdorf: This is who I want to be like when I grow up, because he never did! Such a romanticist always eager to be totally spontaneous even at 87! He has endured many a last minute call to move people and vehicles from one state to another. He has a problem though, fine Cuban cigars and espresso, however he was shocked at the price! He married Rachael a few years ago, who is probably the only woman who can keep up with him and who is the kindest person one could know. What a sweetheart! |
