Baja Naval Marina is where we decided to haul
out. We had to re-paint the bottom, install a prop cutter for fouled lines that
might get into the prop, add new zincs, polish and re-lube our MaxProp
propeller, as well as wax and polish our hull. The guys did an incredible job
from being detailed in hauling to polishing. We also fueled up while on the hard
from 55 gallon barrels.
First we got a slip in the marina to await our
turn haling out. The surge was incredible there. It would have been easy to get
seasick at the dock there! We had to tighten our dock lines at least twice per
day. They had 30 amp service available but we had to run a Y from another slip
and a doubled up length of power cord. Water was on the dock as well, but the
pre-filter I used (Racor carbon cartridge screwed to a garden hose) virtually
plugged up in using it due to the amount of dirt/particulate in the water. The
basin is too dirty to run your watermaker.
Rapture waiting for her lift...

Flying Rapture...

We even had a stairway to our "front door"!

Fueling up...

They were painting a boat next door and
wrapped up our boat to prevent any overspray damage.

Everyday the yard employees would play
volleyball during siesta time. Some would just hang in the shade under boats in
the yard, but all were giving their two cents worth!!

Few more pics of the work...
